Food Technogel

LI: To work on our knife skills.

For this weeks tech we were with our new tech teacher, Mrs Heka at Tamki Collage.We were doing food technogel.First we had to prepare our station before we could cook.On this week timetable we were making colorful fruit jars. Then we had to get our fruit and watch Mrs Heka cut her fruit the proper way.

Then is was our turn to cut our fruit. One person did the grapes and a kiwi, another person did the orange and another kiwi fruit. There was three in one group. Two people cooking and one person doing the dishes.

One person had to get our equipment and another person got the cleaning products. Then we had to remove the skin away from the fruit and then cut it into bit and pieces.We had one cup of yogurt to put into the cup and then you add more fruits. We enjoyed out session with Mrs Heka and eating our food.

LI: To find international new and find the location on a google map.

For this task we had to find five international events.

Ancestor Poem

LI: To use literary Devices.

This DLO talks about my ancestors .We have created a poem about our family and ancestors.Everyone has wrote their own powerful poems.Our poems are packed with very very powerful words.We added word from our cultural words. We used our taonga in this poem.We had a few day to complete this task.In this task I really enjoyed writing poems about my ancestors.The phrase a like best is “I am proud to be a chapter in my family story” 

Steps Web

LI: To use Suffixes on steps web and learn about drop.

For this task I learnt about a activity called drop. This activity was about matching words like you had to find chunks of a word and another chunk then you put it together and you have a word like fight or sight. We had to try not get any errors. I got a gold medal on the activity.  

Tavola Maths Challenge

LI: To find the most efficient strategy for solve the answer.

This task was about how many meters it would take to make 26 Ta'ovalas. This task we had to find the most efficient strategy to sovle this problem.

Math DLO

LI; To use the rule for our problem solving.

For this task I collaborated with Taheesha for this math DLO. Part of this task we had to work out on paper.We had to find out how many fish did hemi and his whanau catch. The main information was that hemi caught three first every hour but her threw back one as a gift to tangaroa. Our problem was to find out how many fish they caught in 10 hours 20 hours and 100 hours. Here is the strategy and the answer with the main information.

Word Cline : Cold

LI: To expand our vocabulary with powerful words and to find words that are stronger than others.

As we keep adding to this word cline words go to boring to more powerful. they can help build our vocabulary and gives more meaning to what we write when we use powerful words. The words go from boring to more powerful as they go up. Word clines are five words that are boring then when you go up your words become more and more powerful.

Here are the examples :

Example 1 . This Morning is was cold.

Example 2.  This morning was so chilly that I had to drink a hot cup of coco.

Example 3. This morning it was so icy that i felt like i couldn’t move in the cold weather.

WW1 Mascots : Real Animals

LI: To create a DLO about WW1 Mascots.

For this task that was given to us, we had to make a DLO about WW1 mascots.We had to write information about the topic and put a attributed image on our work.Fact : The WW1 mascots give the soldiers courage and hope, also they remind them that they are fight for their country and for the people they love.

Photo Montage :1870

For this task we had to create a photo montag about what life looked like in the 1870. We also had to attribute any image we used for this task.It shows what the woman wore,what their houses looked like,what their town looked like, and a photo of people in the 1870s.

Art : Thinking outside the box

 LI: To create a picture by thinking outside the box.

For this task again our teacher gave us another shape to make an outside idea with the shape.We had to think of an outside idea box for or art. Our art could be on paper or digital.I chose for my art to be digital.

Extra Research / Haiku

For this task me and my partner completed (lily). This task we had to make a DLO about haiku.A haiku is a type of poem. The haiku is one hundred years old.It is from japan.I have created na video showing what is a syllable and how to find out if there is a syllable in their word or sentence.

Arts and Craft

For this task me and liletina completed this task together. This task we had to think of an idea that was outside the box.We needed to use this shape in our outside box idea.I did a puzzle and liletina did a face with ears for the shape.

Tongan Language

This is one of my Confident badges tasks. I completed this task for for my teacher because i thought she can learn a new language.here is the link to a video showing how to pronounce the numbers in tongan :Tongan Language

Art

For this task we were asked to create a drawing or a picture about these following animals.Giraffe,Elephant,Kiwi,Turatra. We were allowed to pick any animals about draw them or create a picture of them on a google draw.

Composer | Beyonce

For this task liletina and I completed the Composer Challenge activity.This task was about choosing your favorite singer or group.Then you write fact about this person - group. You add all the information about that person - group. I chose Beyonce because i like her songs and what she does.
