LI: To learn the importance of water safety.
This week was our last week of water safety lesson. This week we had life jackets on. Our first task was to swim for half way of the pool to the end. Our next task was to make a very long chain.Since we had our life jackets on A chain is when your on someone's back and you hold onto the person in front of you with the jackets on. Next we The next swimming move we did is a huddle. When doing a huddle we have to make sure we are not putting our hand on the person shoulder because it can drown them. If we had an injured person or an old person we would have to put them in the middle so they can keep warm. After that we had to try and dive and touch the floor of the pool with the life jackets. This was challenging because we had to because the life jackets were made for people who put them on to float. In in that case we were not allowed to take the life jackets. So we got a bit of help form our instructors .The last part we had to do a big step in the water and get in.At the end we had to jump and high five our instructor. When doing the big step we have to hold our life jacket and put our hands behind our head.

Rugby Profile and Performance - Sonny Bill Williams
LI: Write a profile about a rugby person. For this task we had to chose a person from any rugby then you have to write the height, weight, place of birth, name of player, date of birth, and place of birth. Then we had to put a photo on slide and a bit more information about the player.
Simple Machines - Rube Goldburg - Inquiry
LI: To learn about the five simple machines and apply what you learnt into make a machine.
Our Rube Goldburg machines were tested and presented. We had to chose one scenario out of three. A Rube Goldburg machine is a complicated machine made to do a simple task. Our scenario was putting a ball into the goal, but the main idea was to put the ball.If you wanted someone to be one of the part in the machine then they had to were blindfold. Also when were the blindfolds something or someone must touch the other person.
Example :
Example :
Say if you were in the machine and something touches you then you move. You can't see which direction you are going or what direction you going to hit something into.
What we used :
We also had to include the simple machines.
The 4 main Ideas were
1-wheel and Axel.
2-Lever
3-Pulley
4-Inclined Plane.
Experiences In the groups :
Each member in the groups thought was that our machine was going to fail because the person putting might of hit the ball in the wrong direction. But our simple machine worked. Every part of the simple machine worked.
What I would do Differently :
I will change the part when someone pushes the domino's and someones finger is their. So when the domino's touch someones finger and they push the pull. Just to make it is easier.
Experiences - Challenges :
This experiences we had was challenging. My Movement was waiting for a ball to hit the putter and then I would swing the putter and will hit the ball into the goal.

LS1 RWC Challenge / Maths / rugby maths challenge
LI: apply inquiry, literacy and numeracy skills to learn about the RWC.
This year's rugby world cup is lasting 44 days and is taking place in Japan at 6pm. The task we had to do was linking to maths. We needed to find out what time it would be in different countries when Japan's time showed 6pm. For example: If it was 6pm in Japan, what time would it be in Australia? We had to find out the answers to 7 different countries.
AM stands for/means Anti Meridian. PM stands for/means Post Meridian. Anti Meridian means before mid-day. Post Meridian means after mid-day. We learnt that if a country is really big or large with multiple cities and continents it would have different time zones.

This week for swimming we started of with freestyle, we had to do a couple of laps of it before we can do another swimming stroke. Once everyone was on the platform we had to do some more laps but just backstroke with arms, when did it we had to push our stomach up so we don't sink and we also had to make sure our arms are nice and straight and our legs are kicking fast. To finish of we got to do races, we had to get into two groups of three and one group of four. Each group had to swim to the platform on the other side and the first one to get there has to wait for the other people so the fastest people in the group can vs each other, when the fastest people vs each other the first one to get to the platform is the fastest swimmer in the class.

Reading / QAR / Synthesis,
LI: To separate a fact from an opinion.
For reading we had to read a new article and make a flipgrid on whether you agree or disagree with the article. Our article was called 'Pointless, Painful Physical Education'. We first filled in our prior knowledge then we had to read the article. After we read the article we had to categorise the QAR questions into one of the 'Right there, think & search, author & me and on my own' boxes. Next we had to answer the questions that we categorised. Then we filled in the last two ovals. Lastly we filmed our flip grid.
Scripted - I agree with the text because some people have more than enough technology in the house or around you. According to education world kids like watching T.V but they watch thing that don’t help them learn. Sometimes kids can stare at the screen for a long time and that cause your eyes to dry out. Also did you know that blue light changes the body’s circadian rhythm that tells people if it day or night. I found this at How too much screen time Affects Kids' Eyes

Also when their is a add on T.V with food the food look really yum but when you order it you want nothing to do with it.
People use really weird thing to make their food products look very tasty. Then as a group again we had to write down slogans from each categorise on the slide. Last we had to make up a slogan to advertise the school or anything to do with the school.
