L.I: To use our smart searching skills to find information about the giant panda
One of our activity for this week was to do some research on pandas. We created explanation using the acronym TEEL. Before making the DLO we made notes to record the information we were gathering. We bullet pointed our fact and information so it will be easy to create our paragraphs. TEEL helped us write our paragraphs in order and in correct places. The paragraphs we wrote down was based on the information we gathered using our smart searching skills. Fun fact about pandas are that like most bear they do not hibernate because they cannot stop eating, and pandas diet involve about 99% of bamboo. They also eat up to 26 to 84 pounds in a normal day.
Hi Afatia
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your DLO about the Giant Panda. Your introduction hooked me in from the start. It was very sad to read about how these creatures are losing their habitat and have become a vulnerable species. I love your fact that they don't hibernate because they can't stop eating. What does hibernate mean?

DeleteHi Mrs Anderson, thank you for commenting on my blog. Hibernate mean, that when winters come the bears sleep throughout the winter saving their energy until spring comes. What will happened if people don't stop destroying the pandas land ?
