Summer learning journey-Weird and Wonderful

LI: to solve a equation about cactus.
Today for this weeks activity we had to solve an equation about cactus.
This is the problem we had to work out.Let’s imagine that you are given a cactus for your birthday. To keep it alive, you must give it 3 ml of water every day.

Over one full year, how much water will you need to give your cactus plant? The answer is 1095.

Hometown

LI: To Write about your hometown

For this week i am doing  the summer learn journey and the next activity was that we were writing about your hometown. It is good to in Auckland that i can call home with my family.  

Summer Learning Journey/In the Beginning

This week we were doing the summer learning Journey and we had to do all the actives over the holidays. The first activity and what we had to do write about New Zealand and what we had to do was that we had to learn fun new fact about New Zealand that we didn't know. 

Idioms-Learn New Idioms

LI: To learn a whole bunch of idioms.This week for reading we had to form into a group of three from another group. For our must we had to try and get the most idioms by the end of the week. In my group we had Afatia and Sione T. We managed to get 15 points. But that wasn't enough to come first place.

Place Value Addition

This week for my maths groups we were learning about place value addition and what we had to do to learn it is that we had to learn place values first before we learnt how to put addition into place value.Then what we had to do is we had to write all the addition to hundred in out book and when we are going that we had to work the problem in out book at the same time we were putting the question in.

We had to get the problem from the basic fact boxes  then we had to press the button that said 100 then we did the problems. The problems were up to hundred and even bigger than what we had to do.For this task we had to work by yourself and do the problems on your own. 

Last Week Fun Day

This week for the last day of kiwi can is was the last day of kiwi can and what we did was that we went over our topic and themes in term four. The topic were respect and our theme was respect for out school,Community,and Environment. Link to the videos.

To learn about where the places are between south and north. What we had to was that we had to use is google maps and maori dictionary.

Today for this week i did mt basic fact boxes and i did three. When i was going the basic fact box i got them all right.

SSR Sefie

Today for this week i was doing my SSR Sefie and what i had to do is to pick out a book read that book then tell what happen in the story and the book that a had chosen was captain Underpants

Today for this week i did my reading and what we had to do for reading is we had to learn about new word and we had to find what the mean and then we had to act,draw,animate,or find about the words we choose.

Maori

Today for this week we were learning about maori and what we did was that we had to go into a maori dictionary to find out what the words mean and that we had to work alone. Link to maori dictionary.

Nelson mandela

This week for inquiry we had to write the biography for Nelson Mandela. 
What we had to do is that we had to do a google slide and then we had to a google doc for our notes about the person we were searching about and that person was Nelson Mandela.
We had to do a slide and a doc.

Verb Words Part-3

Today for this week is did my writing and what we did was that we had to do more Verb word but the thing is The we had to do Perfect Tenses like Future Continuous, Past Continuous, and Present Simple. For this Task we had be parted up and then we had to use our netbooks to record 7 videos and leave the rest.

Steampunk art

Yesterday we we learning about steampunk art and what we had to do to learn is that we had to search what is steampunk art and we look at a slide about steampunk art.Then we got a paper and we had to draw steampunk art. Steampunk art is like mechanic gear into something alive. 

Boxing

Today for this week i did my boxing blog post. we had to practising what we did over the week of boxing and we had to work in partners the whole time.

Place value Worth

Today for maths our group is learning about place value worth.

We needed to work out how many groups of ten in a whole number and how many groups of one hundred in the whole number.
