LI. To design an advertisement poster for our market day.

We played rally's. We played in pairs. We started with challenging each other to see who will be the champions. It was normal rules.Peter served the ball in. Then we played. We then had our two champions.

Kiwi Can / Respect
LI: To respect others for their differences.
This week we learnt how to respect other beliefs,ideas, and customs also learn about other cultures,religions, and costume
We talked a bout it. Hold your tongue (meaning think about what you are going to say in your mind before you say it psychically to people).
Activity : This week our activity was spot the differences. How you play is you need to be in pairs then one person changes the appearances while the other person turns around. Then the other person turns around and tries to find the differences about the person. After that you switch places with the other person.

Tennis / Kiwi Sport
LI: learn how to volley a tennis ball.
This week we tried volleying a ball in tennis. We had to used the forehand and the backhand technique to practice our tennis skills. We did this in a group of 4 and we had practised volleying with the different serves that Coach Peter had taught us.

LI: To learn enterprise and business.Our task for inquiry was to play a coffee shop game. But that was not all it was about how enterprise and business works. We had to see how much money we can make in fourteen days. Then we had to take a screen shot of the day ending. One last thing was to make a recording of one full day.

LI: To use statistical and scientific methods to study the effect of wing span and area on lift.This week our task was to make ten paper planes and measure the distance of how much it can fly. Then we had to make a google spread sheet and make a graph showing how much the ten paper plane flew. Their was a specific graph we had to make it on. It was scatters graph
We had to make a google draw about the mistake and what we should of done before we tested the planes because they didn't fly that far. The planes reached about one meter to two metres.

LI:To identify parts of a narrative
This week I have completed my task for writing, my task was called setting description. We had to use the 5 senses to make a setting description. We had to find an image or get one from the class site. Once we find an image we had to put it on a google drawing. Next we had to write a telling and a show description of the picture we choose. The difference between the telling and showing sentence in that when you write your telling sentence your just telling them what you see but when you are writing your show sentence your describing the things you see.

This week for tennis we did fore hand and back hand. We also learned the half serve. For the fore hand and back hand we had to remember to hit the ball gently to the other person as your buddy. Coach Peter teached us the throwing part just with a ball throwing it diagonally to the other opinion. Next we started the serve. The serve was not a full serve but we did half serve, starting on the shoulder and we throw the ball with our left hand and we had to throw the ball high about a meter high and then hit the ball with our racket.

Inquiry / Michal / Food Print
LI: To learn enterprise and business. This week our teacher invited his friend to talk to us about how she started her company which was food print. Her company was about food waste. She use to travel a lot and she worked in the U.S.A for a hotel and then travelled to London and worked for a shop called Hello fresh.
She saw a lot of food being wasted in her time of working in the U.S.A and London. Her passion was to reduce food waste around Atotearoa. So her company is trying to stop the food waste. She has worked on this company for two years but her company just got lunched six months ago.
She had a lot of work to do for her company that was the logo title colour and many more. There is over 20 million loaves of bread wasted each year in New Zealand. So her mission is to reduce the amount of food being wasted.

Kiwi Can / 2019 / Respectful Communication
L.I: to show respect to others around
Today we had another session of Kiwi Can. For kiwi can we learn about respecting others and treating the environment well. Our theme for kiwi can is Respect. Respect means treating people the way that they want to be treated. Then we went into our energiser. The energiser was called quick maths. For this game we needed to get a partner.
We would need need to put 1 of our hands behind our back and we would need to take it out and have a number using our finger. If my partner had 5 finger up and I had 5 then we would need to add it all up so that would be 10. For this game I partnered up with Liane. If we won we would need to go on the other side of the building and If we lost we would need to go to the other side. The winners would need to verse each other. The winner for that game was Hosea.
Then we started talking about how we were communicating in the game. Then we went into our Activity. The activity was called Musical Cones. So Mr Semanu would put cones on the floor and there would be students standing next to them. When the music stops we would need to grab the cone as fast as the other person. The winner for that game was Charlize. We communicated by having fun. Then we went into our points. We got 50 points.

Manaiakalani Film Festival / 2019 / Saint Patrick's School
Today we have just got back from watching other schools movies. All of their movies were great to watch. When we got back we are making another blog post on a schools movie. I picked Saint Patrick's school. Their movie was how to write specific instructions on how to do something.

Next we played a game called I supply, You Demand this game used maths. We had to play this game in groups. The money we got was $ 97 dollars.

This week we are studying aerodynamics. We learnt what variables are as well as

Our task this week was to create 12 paper/origami planes focusing on one certain design and studying each aspect of the design and which part of the paper planes are important and how they affect launch and flight.A variable is a feature of an object or thing that can change between multiple types of the object/item. This week for kiwi sport were learning how to do rally's. We got into our warm ups. We had to pick a partner and start. The warm up was testing and warming up our reactions. Coach Peter then introduced LS1 group A to the rally. A rally is when you hit the ball with the tennis racket and you can't let the ball hit the floor. Our aim was to reach up to four hits with the racket. We used the forehand and backhand technique to help us.

LI: to have fun play Touch
On Wednesday the 6th of November we had Touch Rugby. The team I was in was Yr 6 Team B. We first went against Tamaki Primary and lost 6 - 0. We then went against Point England and lost 5 - 0. We then went against Glen Taylor which was a brutal lost. We lost 5 - 0. We then went against Glenbrae and we lost 4 - 1. Then we went against Panama Rd and lost 3 - 1. Our last game was against Panmure District and we sadly lost 2 - 1.

Kiwi Can / Respect / 2019
LI: To respect yourself and others and about respectful communication.. This week we had another session of kiwi can. Our theme for the whole term was respect. We also recapped on what we did and learnt from the past few weeks.

Paper Air Plane / Maths / Diagram
LI: To learn the measurement on the paper air plane. This weeks understanding for maths we stared on learning about air dynamic or planes. We had to first know how to make it so the teacher taught us. We had to pick one to study on.My group chose the sky tower. We then had to make it. We had to then measure the parts of the plane.
Figurative Language / Writing / Examples
LI: To investigate figurative language. Our learning for writing was to understand what is a figurative language. For this task we had to create a slide deck. We had to have examples a simile,Important,Metaphor,Personification,Hyperbole,and a understatement.We had to put in a bit of information of each word. We got into small groups and did a quiz on the first day. We had to write our answer on a white board to test how well we know figurative language.
