Smart Surfing | Komodo Dragons
LI: To use key words for better searching. This week was about using key words to find out a better source of information and a appropriate site to get the information from. So we had to write a question then highlight the key words in the question.Then we had to chose one of your question and find the key words. Then you had to find an information site that answer yous questions. You had to do two sources of information. When you have your information then you copy it and put into where it says key words for searching. you have to do this to all your questions. Then you highlight all the key words in each text.

Next we had tell our kiwi can teacher our emotional when we did the challenge and tell our kiwi can teacher why.
Activity
Our activity was Emotion Charades for this game we had to be in groups and our kiwi can teacher will give us an act we have act it then we had to show the class.The difficult about this game is that we had to show them and not tell them.
They have to try and guess the emotional and the act.

Motat | School Trip
This week we had an awesome day MOTAT. This trip was to help us for our inquiry through out the term.This term we are learning about steam.When we got to Motat we were introduced to three people and their names were Kenza,Emma,and Damien. Next we were put in to groups for us to go and explore Motat.
The other group stayed inside to do two activity. So the one group that stayed inside was divided into two groups and one group went to Emma and the others went to Kenza. Kenza's group was making and electronic cardboard car with an little mini motor. stuck to the bottom of the car. We needed cardboard,scissors,tape,mini motor,propellant,wheels axle.
Emma's group was trying to create a flash light. We had the little motor like in kenza's group. We had to make something that will turn the cogs for the flash light to work. We also needed cogs,the light LED,spin,axles.

Basic Facts
L.I: To get more better at basic facts boxes.
This week for Maths I did Basic Facts boxes. I finished of my Addition and Subtraction. Subtraction is making the number go less and Addition is making things go more up. The first layer that I did was Addition. We had to work by ourselves for this Basic Facts boxes. Addition and Subtraction is kind of hard and easy.
Possums
LI: to separate fact from opinion
Fact is a statement that is completely true, and a Opinion is someones belief or thought to something. We first did activity and got a statement and we had to prove if it was Fact or Opinion? Our work was to read a book on the Problem about Possums in New Zealand. We then had to find out the main idea, and find the facts and opinion in the book. We then had to make a poster about if we should kill possums, or protect them.
How To Persuade | WIP
This week for writing we were learning about, Persuasive, Persuasion, and How to persuade. I picked Persuasive because it actually sounded the same to the other topics. We needed to make a poster and we needed to write down the information about persuasive. Persuasive is to convince people to accept a view or a idea.

Basic Subtraction Up To 20
LI: To earn to and look after money by creating with maths.This week was about earning and looking after money. We chose to make a basic fact up to 20 quiz on a google form.This task was to make money and look after it. first we had to had a google form to keep all our money. and we had a disaster form when you press go and then it will pick year 6 year 5 girls boy group people and those stuff. If you get picked then you will have to pay back some or all of your money. Since we had completed this task before the completions date you will earn more money.
Swimming and Water Safety
LI: To learn water safety skills.
This week our first swimming session for water safety. We had to get into groups from the staff to see how good was our ability for swimming.When we get into our groups we had to swim to the middle part of the swimming pool.The staff person that had me was Elisabeth. Our first task was to do a dolphin dive. Then after that we had to do front flips to the end of the pool.We had to lay on our tummy's and turn around so that our backs were facing the bottom of the pool. Next we had to lay on our backs again and tuck you knee's and then flip on to your tummy's.

Kiwi Can | 2019
LI: To learn what the emotions of other people.
For Kiwi Can our our big T was theme was resilience and our small t was topic was emotions. We stared Kiwi Can with an activity, our activity was called the silent disco. for our activity, someone had to wear an headphone and the others had to act our an emotion, and the person on the headphone had to guess the emotion. then we finished Kiwi Can with the song. The song went: Kiwi Can says, if you feel it, let it out, don't doubt, just get it all out.

This week we had an visit from Duffy. Their were three people doing the show.First we did our three rules and they were, step one participate in by helping then in the show, step two listen to the them, and the last rule was enjoy the show.
The show was about how reading can save you from living in a game.
Duffy was playing magic bricks with Sam his cousin three hours away they were talking with head gear. Duffy was going to Sam's house tonight . When Duffy arrived to Sam's house Sam was playing Magic bricks she was too busy to even say hi to Duffy.
Duffy tried to get Sam to play with him and do stuff but she keeped playing unit she died. While Sam was playing Duffy put on gammas glass and got sucked into the game. Duffy was didn't know were he was so unit Sam saw Duffy inside the game. They had to work together to save Duffy and their grandma had created the game so she can go in the game and come out of the game.

Kiwi Sport
L.I: to get fit and workout your muscles.
Groups of LS1 went to the hall for kiwi sport. The sport that we were doing was hit. Hit is when you do workouts. You can do hard workouts or easy hard workouts. The first group did easy workouts and the other group did hard workouts. We needed to do heaps of stuff. We needed to get into partners. My partner that I grouped up with was Diana. One of us needed to do a workout then we will need to witch when Mr Ogilvie says and when the beep goes on. We needed to do 4 rounds of the obstacles then we will need to switch to the next workout. We needed to wear a band and clip on the heart rate monitor. At the end we where doing bring sally up and bring sally down. We needed to do it in till it got to the end of the song. If we dont do it right Mr Oglivie will tell us to hop out or we can just give up.

Dialogue | Play Dialogue | Christmas Stolen
LI: To write a narrative in a form of a play.
This was the last week of inquiry. For this task in writing we had to complete our play dialogue. For this task we had to work in our writing groups. Each group had done their own play. The first week that we started on this we had to come up with a play idea. Then we worked on our what was our play about and then how it was going to work out.
Then we had to write our orientation about the play. Next we had to write our characters for the play. Next we had to write what the characters are going to do. Next then we two week to learn and create dialogue.
Last thing we had to do was we had to pick colour for each character’s
Very last thing was that we had to fix up any little mistake and our full play was complete for any group can do.

Planets In the Solar System | Inquiry
L.I:to know the planets in different types of languages
This week for inquiry we had our last session with our inquiry groups.
Earth and Beyond L.I To activate our prior knowledge.
Planet Jigsaw -L.I To find,Select and Record word facts then share and discus collaboratively to build a complete jigsaw.
This Term for Inquiry we had to blog all of the task we have be doing from the past few weeks.
The past few weeks we did Earth and Beyond/Planet Jigsaw,English and Hindi .
Earth and Beyond :
For Earth and Beyond we had to use our knowledge and answer the question. The questions were about space and our solar System. We had to go on Auto Draw and we had to draw the planet.
Planets In the solar System :
For this task we had to make a slide presentation about the planets. We also had to chose a language to translate the planet names. Our inquiry teacher said that we can do any language so we picked The Hindi Language because one person from our team group for the task speak Hindi. So we chose Hindi.

This task we had to learnt about the planets and to learn all the planets like i learnt that earth take 363 days to orbit the sun.

Word Problem Video Presentation
We had to solve a bunch of different word problems we had learnt to solve throughout the year. We had to show how we solved the word problem. It was split in categories like Proportion and Ratios which is fraction, Multiplication is repeated addition, Division is sharing, and Addition is putting more, and Subtracting is taking away. We then had to present one of the equations by showing how we solve it. I did not finishes my slide because i had no time to complete because i had to leave it and present to Mr Wong's Maths group and that Mr Wong had video us while we showed the audience how to solve an equation that we had already complete and to show what strategies that we used to complete the task. There were 15 problem to complete in the whole slide.

LI: to retell about the book that you read.
Raina can’t wait to be a big sister. But once amara is born, things aren't quit how she expected to be. Amara is cute, but she can be cranky,grouchy baby.Their relationships does not improve over the years.But when their baby brother comes into the picture, and later., when something seems wrong between their parents they realize they must figure out how get along by the way they are sisters anyway.

My Constellation
LI: To use skimming,Scanning, and summarising.Constellations are a shape of something that is made up of stars. They are created by ancient people who saw stars and imagined of what it looks like. Skimming is reading a book and looking for information. Scanning is trying to find specific information. Summarising is reading a book and retelling it. So we had an activity to make constellations using skewers and marshmallows. Marshmallows were the star and the skewers were the lines that make the constellation. For this task we had to work with a partner and my partner was salina. The constellation that we did was the Lyra constellation.

This week for Maori we we learned about what we like in Maori we say He Pai ki ahau (What I like) .We started of by doing a word problem. We had to find the words when we finished we could started doing a our poster.

This week for kiwi can we recapped about what we learnt in the past few weeks for this term.After we recapped what we learnt we got told that we won the points game for getting the most points. After that we got right into our games. We had a chose to play the game that we want to play.
We chose the games go home stay home and the game that we played last was octopus.
We went inside and got our prizes for winning then went back to class.
