National Treasure / SLJ / Day 5 /

LI: To write three thing that you treasure and why you do it.
For this activity, we would like to learn more about the things that are important to you and please share three things that you treasure and say why they are treasures to you.

1. I treasure my jewelry because it has good things on it like diamonds and more like that. Also people buy jewelry with their own money for me and a want to respect them buying the jewelry for me. So i take care of it carefully.

2.  The second thing a treasure is the money I  get from people. When I get money from people I treasure it because they gave their money to me for being good.

3. The last thing that t treasure is my life because you only get one shot inlife to do everything that you want to do. So I want to take care of my needs health and vitamints.

SLJ / Day 4 / Tonga Tips

LI:To write tips on a brochure of tonga. The last activity for day four was to make a brochure about some tips when you go on a trip to tonga. I added one photo and another photo but I created the tongan flag by using the shapes.

One of my tips were :
Never be silly on the day of white sunday because you might get punished.

SLJ Day 4 / Making a racket



LI: To list three things that you learnt about the William sisters.

For this activity we had to list three things that we learnt about Serena and Venus Williams and also what we still want to know. 


I want to know how long they have played tennis for. 

I learnt that Venus won the Wimbledon in 2005, I also learnt that Serena earns more than $88 million dollars for her career. 

I also learnt that Serena and Venus don't do their talks or agree on things that they want or want to do.

LI: To write what my mothers dream job.This task we had to complete was to make a DLO about one person that can be your friend family member or any one you know. WE had to create a google drawing about some dream job.

Rugby Super Stars / Summer Learning Journey / Day 2 / Task 1

LI: To name three super powers and what you would to with the powers.
This week task we were learning about rugby - superstars. We had to name three super powers. Then we had to state one reason or more about each three super - powers.

Powers :  

Shape shifting : I would like to have the power, of Shape shifting because it could help me understand animals and sea creatures more better and I can help the more better it I can understand what going wrong with them.

Psychokinesis : I would like to have this power, of Psychokinesis because I would like to help people in need and I would like to help endanger people or animals. With the powers I can move objects and more.

Illusion : I would like to have this power, of Illusion because I can help people or endangered  animals.

LI: To write or make a poster about the S.P.C.A. This week i had to make a poster about what the S.P.C.A does to animals that need their help,home, and their care. I created a poster about the S.P.C.A. Here is my poster.

SLJ Task 1 / Day 2 / Jean Batten & Amelia Earhart

LI: To Learn the differences about Amelia Earhart and Jean Batten. Day two task was to create a Venn Diagram about the two explores flying solo (meaning fly around the world by themselves). We had to write facts or information about the two woman and then we had to write what they have in common. I did three facts about the two woman.

What I learnt:
I learnt about Jean Batten got bitten by a dog and refused to use treatment. Then without treatment she sadly past away from the infection on the dog bite.

LI: To write about where are family's came from. The next SLJ task (Summer Learning Journey ) was to make a google map about are family generations. We had to put where they lived then and where they live now then.

Summer Learning Journey / Day 1 / Explorsers

L.I To think of 10 food that we can take on a boat ride.
This week is the first week of summer learning Journey. Our Task was to think of 10 foods that we can take with us on a boat for 21 says (3 Weeks). One of our food was beans we also had to write why we chooses that food.  Me and my Partner used one website to helps it kind of helped us we used Protein Bar from that website.

SLJ / Teaser week / Day two / Activity 2

LI: to explain how we fell about the gender pay gap
In this task we had to explain if the gender pay gap is fair. I think that it is unfair. Because woman are getting paid less cause of there gender. I think that if both genders are doing the same amount of work than they should be able to get paid the same amount of money and should work for the same amount of time.

Ithink that both genders should be paid equally. It shouldn't matter what gender they are both genders should be treated equally.

LI: to make a character description for the BFG
In this task we had to make a character description for the BFG. We had to use descriptive words to describe what he smells, sound, and looks like. We also had to create our own version of the BFG. The BFG is an acronym for Big Friendly Giant. He is in a book written by roald dahl

LI: To finish our narratives.This week for writing we were finishing our narratives. My narrative is about Jarrell finding the cure to save his life before it's to late. Then the meet Madam Zoozoo who helps jarrell and patricia. What happened next?

Basic Facts

For Basic Facts I did Speed demon up to 10  I got 4 minters and 56 Seconds. I need to less then 4 minters and 58 seconds.
I know that i can get better and faster then the time I have this week.

SSR Selfie

LI: To remember and retell a part of a text. This week the book a choose was EJ12 in the dark. This book is a fiction book. this book is about a girl ( Emma ) who need to crack the code from the evil agency shadow to save shine's solar energy station.

Sequence of Events


LI: To write the chapters in your own words. This week we had to complete all of our task for the Roald dahl books.The last task I had to complete was the Sequence of events. We had to summarise chapters on the book we had. We had to complete the task using the book but some other people did not use the book.

SLJ / Pepeha

For this Activity We had to make a Pepeha. The Summer Learing Journey made template for us to use It had sentences for mountain ,River,City and others. I learned how to make a Pepeha.

Kiwi Can / Fun Week

LI: To recap the themes from the whole year of learning.

This week was fun week meaning the week before the last week of school we have a fun week when chose five games we want to play for the last session.

The four game that we played was Colour code,Bippy bop.Hot potatoes,Simon says (Do this Do that, and the last game was Musical cones.

Maori


LI: To understand a range of numbers in moari.

In maori today, we got a task to learn about maori numbers. First we practices with our teacher and then we were sent of to do the task.We had to translate the maori numbers to English numbers.We we completed the task our moari teacher taught us hundreds,thousands and millions. We had to say them in maori but we didn't write the numbers in maori.

LI: To learn what is a legal image and how to find a legal image.This week for Cyber Smart we had to pick one things out of slide,Move,song and other. We had to work in partners in my partner was Afatia. We had to write how to find a legal Image.
This will also help you with finding legal Images.

Kiwi Sport

L.I to play singles. We played rally's. We played in singles. We started with challenging each other to see who will be the champions. It was normal rules. This time the challenger will serve the ball in. This time we had one point. Then we start to play.We had to make sure that we hit the ball to the corners to make the opponent run side to side and then get tired.

Kiwi Can / Respect / Respect Others

LI: To learn how to respect other,disabilities,looks,beliefs, and Religion.

This week we learnt about how to respect others in their ways. First we had a chat or recapped what happened last week. We talked about why people judge other people just by looking at them.

Then Miss Mack gave a example about respecting other people.

Example : Is we had a disability person in the school. We had to answer what will we do to that person to make him/her fell better or feel like they need to be here.

Reading

LI:To write a setting description
This week is the last week we are going to be learning about Ronald Dahl and the books he wrote. That means I have to finish reading the book which is the Matilda. The task I completed this week is the setting description. I had to find the setting were it token place in the book which is the Miss Honeys cottage. When I found the picture I need a had to write a showing paragraph that needs to have the 5 senses. The 5 senses is vision, hearing, touch, smell and taste.





Maori / Days / Weeks


LI: To put the words in the right order. This week we learn about how to put things in the correct order. Then we had to use that to put the maori words into the right coloum.

This week for moari we are learning how translate moari numbers English numbers. The first thing we had to do i was read the number in moari and put them into English numbers. We had to use clock face general.

Maths / Dividing



L.I - To learn about fractions
This week for Maths we are learning about fractions. Fractions is a whole object divided into two equal pieces.  We used coloured paper to make the fractions. Quarters is a whole object divided into four pieces. The examples are shown below and also the meanings. We had to write an meaning and and glue the paper to our maths books. We also had to eight meaning and we had to write how to do the working out. Then after that we divided a even number of beans and divide the number (12) into quatures.
