SLJ Week 1 Activity 4
Inspired by art creations by Raku Inoue we went outside and collected leaves, twigs, and other plant debris to create our own insect images. I found it quite hard to make this because I had to try and make the shapes out of the leaves and twigs I got from outside.I enjoyed this task because I got to learn the shape of the insect I created. My name is Renee and I’m from the Summer Learning Journey Team. Ka pai for creating this awesome dragonfly out of nature. In particular, I really like the textured plant that you used for the antennae - it looks really realistic to me. Do you have a favourite insect? I like praying mantis because I think they look like creatures from outer space. I also like ladybugs because I like the colours and patterns on their wings.
I also really like how you have included some interesting facts about dragonflies in your post - this was so interesting to me, I had no idea that they have existed for 3,000 years - that is amazing! Where did you learn these facts about the dragonfly?
